Finally Painting

Finally back at it. I hadn't previously drawn the moon, stars and sun in the sky, so yesterday I started there. I used tracers first, just like the kids did to make the original drawings, and then I jumped in with the paint, starting with the yellow, then orange, and finally black. I also started on the grass. 

Painting big can be so meditative, and this is also such a mesmerizing image. I really got lost in it. It helps to have smooth paint and good brushes...
